چکیده
Abstract The work investigates changes in the beam structure under action of local freezing, which leads to a change mechanical properties material and, consequently, structure. Two types samples were used: from cement-sand mortar and concrete. development deformations depending on conditions freezing samples. second accelerated method for assessing frost resistance was chosen according DSTU B В.2.7-47-96. An at temperature -20 ±2 C°. After every five freeze-thaw cycles, following monitored: mass, water absorption, ultrasound transmission rate, damage coefficient, tensile bending strength, splitting compressive carbonization depth. results showed that both concrete samples, strength after lower by 8% 15% accordingly. experimental obtained confirm assumptions made depends exposure negative temperatures products structures it can be used wider range construction will push regional development.

متن کاملSand-Cement Concrete in the Century-Old Camarasa Dam
Sand-cement emerged in the early twentieth century as an alternative binder in infrastructures that required a significant amount of concrete volume in order to reduce the costs associated with portland cement. This binder was first used in the United States in several dams before being applied in Camarasa Dam in Spain. Nearly a century after its construction, the dam exhibits degradation pheno...
متن کاملChloride Diffusion and Acid Resistance of Concrete Containing Zeolite and Tuff as Partial Replacements of Cement and Sand
In this paper, the properties of concrete containing zeolite and tuff as partial replacements of cement and sand were studied. The compressive strength, water absorption, chloride ion diffusion and resistance to acid environments of concretes made with zeolite at proportions of 10% and 15% of binder and tuff at ratios of 5%, 10% and 15% of fine aggregate were investigated. The results showed th...
